Task: The Model of the Spheres is an additional tasks mission. It is a collection mission acquired by speaking with Dr. Leynomi Aridana in Operations on the Nexus before A Better Beginning or after in the Tech Lab.

Travel the cluster and take planetary scans to improve Dr. Aridana's celestial model.

The first time Ryder speaks with Dr. Aridana after completing Task: Getting to Know the Nexus, she'll mention the missing scientists. Speak with her again to acquire Task: The Model of the Spheres.
Before completing A Trail of Hope, and gaining access to the Govorkam system, there are 47 planets available for scanning.
Progressing through Cora's loyalty line to Cora Harper: At Duty's Edge will make the Valay system available. If Liam's loyalty mission, Liam Kosta: All In, becomes available, the Sephesa system becomes available. Either star system allows completion of the model before proceeding with the priority ops mission line.
Despite Dr. Aridana's remark about sharing her educational budget, there is no monetary reward.
