Scourge Formations are spatial anomalies related to the Scourge. The particular characteristics of these anomalies make them suitable for placement of data collection probes.
These formations appear during Meridian: The Way Home after Ryder talks to Suvi. Probes may be placed in all seven formations, but Scourge Data Capsules are only collected from the first three.
