There are five types of mod for sniper rifles, each providing a different benefit. For each type, there is one basic mod and two upgrades which provide a greater benefit, but with detrimental effects. Only the basic mods are available at the first tier.

Barrel[edit | edit source]

  • Barrel: Enhances a weapon's barrel, creating greater gunfire velocity and impact.
  • Reinforced Barrel: Substantially increases damage, but at the cost of increased recoil.
  • Vented Barrel: Substantially increases damage, but at the cost of fire rate.

An equipped barrel changes the silhouette of a weapon.

Receiver[edit | edit source]

  • Receiver: Capacitor boosts kinetic coil generators, increasing shot penetration through solid objects.
  • Calibrated Receiver: Allows shots to significantly penetrate solid objects, but reduces clip size.
  • Quick Receiver: Significantly increases penetration damage and distance, but reduces headshot/weak point damage.

The Naladen cannot be equipped with a receiver.

An equipped receiver mod changes the color of parts of a weapon, darker or lighter depending on the weapon.

Clip[edit | edit source]

  • Spare Thermal Clip: Adds sockets to increase thermal clip capacity, increasing number of spare shots.
  • Heavy Spare Clip: Substantially increases spare ammo, but at the cost of increased weapon weight.
  • Light Spare Clip: Substantially increases spare ammo, but at the cost of accuracy.

The Inferno cannot be equipped with a spare clip.

An equipped spare clip changes the color of parts of a weapon to a dull red.

Scope[edit | edit source]

  • Scope: Simple optical scope to enhance stability while zoomed. Also increase accuracy while moving.
  • Recon Scope: Substantially increases accuracy, but at the cost of increased recoil.
  • Tactical Scope: Substantially increases accuracy, but at the cost of increased weight.

Materials[edit | edit source]

  • Ultra-Light Materials: Superior lightweight alloys replace weapon parts, making the weapon less obtrusive and easier to handle.
  • Experimental Materials: Substantially reduces weapon weight, but at the cost of increased recoil.
  • Latticed Materials: Substantially reduces weapon weight, but at the cost of decreased clip size.
