The Pathfinder Pioneer is an assault rifle. It is available to players who purchased the Deluxe or Super Deluxe Edition. Tier V is the highest available for any Pathfinder firearm.

Description[ | ]

The Pioneer feeds data directly to a Pathfinder's SAM, allowing adjustments to the automatic weapon's balance, recoil, and heat buildup. The first Pathfinder weapon was developed by Andromeda Initiative scientists to serve as a virtual extension of its user's body.

Notes[ | ]

The singleplayer stats shown on this page are baseline: Initiative I armor, no skill points assigned, no profile active.

The following augmentations cannot be applied to the Pathfinder Pioneer during development:

It is advised not to apply the Electrical Conduits augmentation to the Pathfinder Pioneer due to an automatic firing problem. (See here for details.)

As the Pathfinder Pioneer is already a burst-fire weapon by default, do not apply the Burst Fire System augmentation to this weapon during development. This only wastes an augmentation slot.

Despite being classified as Rare, the Pathfinder Pioneer only has 2 augmentation slots.

During a New Game +, the Special Delivery Cache terminal resets and another copy of this weapon at Tier I is awarded. This weapon will not be level-dependent.

All weapons in the Pathfinder Elite Weapon Set have a naming bug that occurs when developing these weapons. If you develop weapons at Tiers II-V, and do not rename the weapon, the weapon will default to Tier I in the name. The Tier II-V weapons are correct for stats/functionality, they just have the wrong name. If you want the name to display correctly, you will have to change the name.

There is no multiplayer version of this weapon.
