The kett Carfalon blade can directly inject the user's hand with a variety of neurochemical stimulants. The Carfalon reinforces the body's reward mechanisms, allowing a combatant to overcome pain and fatigue after successful strikes. The weapon's ability to adapt to various species suggests the kett occasionally give them to favored vassals.

The Kett Carfalon can be used to melee strike enemies even after they die to continue replenishing health. Striking the dead body for two or three more times may be still be possible. In the case of enemies that crumble to dust when they die, continue striking the area where the body would have been and this will still allow health to be restored.
While it seems counter intuitive, it is possible to melee strike a friendly construct like an Assault Turret or Remnant VI and this will restore health the same as striking an enemy. No damage appears to take place to the construct from repeatedly performing this action.
It is also possible to strike friendly allies and squadmates with this melee weapon to restore health. This will not harm them and will restore health the same as striking enemies.
