Armor in Mass Effect: Andromeda works a little different than in other titles in the series. Comprised of four distinct slots (Chest, Helmet, Arms, and Legs), each armor set provides a distinct set of bonuses tailored for a specific play style, but doesn't provide intrinsic protection (unless the armor provides said bonus, of course).

Armor sets

Armor is available as sets, allowing you to mix and match different components. The sole exception is the Heleus armor, which only has two slots (helmet and body).
