Type Non-journal
Starting Location Eos
Mission Location Eos

A Job for Danny Messier is a non-journal mission that doesn't appear in the Journal. It is acquired while traveling on Eos or by talking to Danny Messier in Prodromos. Danny will call for the Pathfinder's help.

Objectives[edit | edit source]

  • Rescue Danny

Locations[edit | edit source]

Danny Messier will appear with an Ally iconAlly Map Icon.pngabove his head when Ryder gets close enough to his location. This location may or may not show on the overhead map.

Notes[edit | edit source]

It is recommended to complete this mission right after the radiation clears on Eos. The planet will now be fully accessible and this is before Ryder has completed any of the kett missions.

Danny first appears in Prodromos. If Ryder engages him in conversation, he'll ask for advice on what to do. Ryder can suggest joining the fight against the kett, studying the Remnant, or studying flora and fauna. If Ryder has completed a kett-related mission on Eos, the kett option will not appear. Danny's attackers will depend on Ryder's choice. Once Ryder has chosen a field of study for Danny, Danny will move to that location.

Once Ryder rescues Danny for the first time, Danny will let Ryder know that he is going to choose a different field of study. Rewards for the mission are given after the first rescue. Danny will then move to the new field of study location. Ryder can then rescue Danny for a second time. Danny will comment on the last field of study and then move to that location (if three choices were available at the start of the mission).

There are no additional rewards for rescuing Danny at subsequent locations but XP is earned for defeating his attackers.

Rewards[edit | edit source]

  • +270 XP for first rescue
